Include Quotes While Editing Posts?

So, the new editor is crashing a lot for me - leaving malformed posts with no content. 

Rather than double posting, am I able to insert a quote into an edit of a post? I have the little multi-quote window in the bottom-right corner of the screen - but do not see any way to insert it into a post.

One more problem, half the time I am submitting a new post, it seems to be lost and not posted (along with everything I spent time writing).

 

Using Google Chrome Version 46.0.2490.86 m, no plugins.

That is (supposed to be) a button. You click it and it inserts the quotes.

If that doesn't work it's just another bug you're experiencing

Sadly doesn't work. When I click the button, it tries to put the quotes in a new post, not the post I am editing.

Copy-paste of quotes don't work in Chrome. I have to use Edge or IE to manipulate quotes.

probably doable in 2 edits, first edit, then start a new post with quote, copy paste & don't validate the new post, reedit your post and paste the quote.

Pasting quotes works for me in Safari.

anyway chrome thing might has something to do with NPAPI java thing i guess no ? or may be it's related either with OS and 32 or 64 version also, dunno.

but my own bet is it still work with the two step edit as a workaround ; )

Hmm. I can paste a quote in Chrome, that I copied in Edge. Thought it looks weird.

Edit: Looks OK after posting apparently.

This is how it looked in editor.

There's an extra frame around the pasted quote. Until I posted it.

Still can't copy/cut the quote in this post or insert another quote, without resorting to another browser than Chrome

Now my whole post above turned into an Editor box 

Click on the text and you can type there.

Edit: The picure in my above post doesn't seem to show properly. You can glimpse it for a fraction of a second if you refresh the page.
