Wow... I just noticed. I've been playing KSP for a year.

I just noticed that I found KSP just about a year ago.  I then joined this great community in late March.  I started out not even understanding the whole modding system.  My computer really struggled with it until I started using my other one for it.  I've been loving this game, and this great community ever since.  I recently found my first post on the forums, which I had to add the source to a little mod I made to be able to give the download link.  Then I forgot the license...  Wow, I've grown quite a bit with everyone here, and with my knowledge of orbital mechanics.  I remember burning until I had a suborbital trajectory, making a maneuver note at apoapsis, and then making the burn into orbit...  Yeah.  I can't believe I couldn't figure out gravity turns.  I'm SOOOOOOO much better now, but I'm still growing.  This game completely respired my love for space, and science.  It's even made me reconsider a bit about what I want to major in in college, though that is still a few years away.  I'd like to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you, @SQUAD.  It's funny how something a teenager did with modified fireworks and little tin foil men has had such a positive effect on my life.  (Thanks, @HarvesteR)  This has truly been the only game that has interested me.  Again, thank you.

Don't think I've hit the one year mark, but I agree with your sentiments completely. I only wish I'd had this game around when I was very young. I think I honestly would have taken this new enthusiasm for space and science and tried to go somewhere with it. I can happily watch from the sidelines and cheer things on though, all the while playing a terrific game that lets me get my 'fix'.

Just over a year for me - picked up KSP in Nov 2014, didn't put it down until 1.0 rolled out... Then sort of lost the plot with all the dicking around with heating and aerodynamics, and currently waiting for 64 bit before returning.

On the up side, by the time I get back into it, it'll be a heavily refreshed game with many new parts I have never used. And the ability to be modded to an epic scale :)  Though I expect I will still turn off heating :P
