Tell me how you play KSP.

I figured I'm going to take a break from stock. So I'm asking you for the way you play KSP!

What mods do you use? I'm really just looking for some inspiration here.

Currently playing Realism Overhaul and RSS in career mode with realistic progression zero. Last time I tried RSS + RO I didnt know RP-0 was as polished as it seems now. So back then it was just sandbox mode for me. Now with a ballanced career mode I am having lots of fun. If you have not played RSS + RO yet, I can just recommend to try it out. At the beginning it feels a little bit like beeing a newbie again, figuring out how to get the first babysteps into orbit. Its greatly rewarding... and I can guarantee that every single launch feels at least 100% more pompous compared to stock.

I click the icon of a little green man, then wait for it to load up.  I click... Oh wait.

I mod it 'til it crashes.  Unfortunately, with 1.0.5, that only means a few...  1.1 will change that though.  I love to use @RoverDude mods, and have recently realized that I can't go without visual mods.  I LOVE RealPlume, Scatterer, EVE, etc.

I have tried Realism Overhaul, but I just can't stick to it. Much like all my career games. I suppose I should really give it a fair try.

The most important mods are either informational or visual - depending on whether you want to build good ships or watch pretty explosions (both are allowed).

Amongst informational mods are KER/MJ/VOID, in probable order of popularity, with MJ also being able to auto-pilot for you, if you want it to take over parts of flight you're finding tedious (the 7,000th refuelling flight with standard tanker) or too difficult (rendevous/docking being favourites).  In a class of its own but equally important is KAC which is either i) just an in-game alarm clock, or ii) the only way to track 30-odd flights at the same time.

EVE (not the planet) is favourite with those that like pretty.  RPM is absolutely a must for IVA to be useful.  Chatterer is audio rather than visual but adds immensely to immersion, and who can't love a mod that is proud to boast "totally useless, totally fun"?

Beyond that ... well what sort of game are you looking for?  There's a mod for just about everything.

That's the point. I don't know what I'm looking for. That's why I'm asking how the community likes to play.

And as far as visual mods go, KSPRC is amazing, and I got it to work on 1.0.5 with some fiddling around. I think it's proper updated to 1.0.5 now, however.
