They did not do so with the intention of colonizing the planet. Therefore, discussing means of colonizing Venus, which this thread persists in veering onto, is off-topic for this thread. If you want to start a thread about the possibility of colonizing Venus, you are free to do so. But since the last 4+ such threads turned into arguments and had to be locked, do not hold out hopes for it lasting long.
