Does KSP interfere with your daily internet browsing?

Hi all. OK, so I've just discovered a "bug" that I have when browsing on the internet. It doesnt matter if its a YouTube video, an image or anything, I find myself keep right clicking to "look" around.

Is this just me, or has anyone else found the whole KSP game/internet browsing thing a conflict of interests?

I find myself doing it when watching KSP vids a lot.

On a slightly more serious but related note, I find KSP crashes a lot more with firefox open in the background. It might be confirmation bias, but I'd be interested if anyone else has noticed/experienced this...

I almost always run KSP with Firefox open on my second monitor.  Never seems to be a problem for me.

Same with me lol! Screenshots/images are the worst, especially in the VAB or SPH

Speaking of that, has anyone noticed thatif you're watching youtube and playing ksp at the same time, sometimes the picture in ksp gets fragmented when you look around? Or is that just me?

Normally I play KSP on its own but I'll try playing whilst using YouTube next time and let you know.

I too have encountered that bug.  Sometimes that bug occurs in other games

That never happens to me because I play ksp on my laptop and I use the IPad to do all my browsing. Mainly because KSP really slows down the speed at which I can use the Internet on my laptop.

did you ever find out what was causing this?

 

i never had the issue, untill i discovered my firefox wasnt updating.  i was on 36.0.1 untill about a week ago.

after upgrading to v46, and now v47 ksp crashes both on-startup with firefox already open, and in game whenever i try to open ff.

 

for me its a deal-breaker for actually playing ksp.  always have netflix or something up as i play.

 

fyi: it happens both in modded and vanilla ksp installs, as well as with FF in normal browsing and safe modes.

Not at all, surprisingly. In fact, it's quite the opposite; internet browsing interferes with me playing KSP. I'll start mulling around stream chats, watching videos, looking up stuff on Wikipedia, poking around on the forums until WHAM! It's midnight and I haven't even started KSP.

I think just need to remember to START PLAYING KSP WHEN I WANT TO instead of "one more video won't hurt!"
