how to figure out the orbital

Hi guys, i need some help.

after launch rocket, in the orbit map view, it tell me exactly where my rocket gonna go by showing the rocket orbit.

anyone know how to figure out the orbital ?  or any article referent this ?

by figure out,  i mean the physics formula or mathematic formula.

any thought will be appreciate.

well,

i know x^2/a^2 + y^2/b^2 = 1 is a ellipse formula, i thought when the rocket launch, it move along with the ellipse formula, it's my guess correct ?

i wish to find out the rocket orbit, so i can calculate where the rocket gonna be after certain time.

Ha, I got a Moon encounter on my first try (no idea about proper phase angle for Earth-Moon transfer)! Lucky.

It's like a free online simple version of KSP :D. It even has nearly the same style Ap and Pe markers!
