Checkerboard graphics glitch

I seem to be getting a strange checkerboard pattern appear which flickers, it only seems to be on surface textures like islands & terrain, it doesn't happen on the sea or sky for instance.

Hi GreyArea, that's not normal, or known.

I suggest you check your graphics card temperature, there will be a temperature monitor in the software that installed with the cards driver.

If it's not high I suggest you update your graphics card driver and reboot the PC.

If the card is overheating please shut down your PC  and check that the fan on the card is turning and that there is air entering and leaving the PC case.

Sounds like your GPU could be overheating? What kind of computer do you have, laptop or desktop?

Maybe grab a free fan monitoring program and see what kind of temps you're getting when running KSP.

If temp is fine, I'd try the old "update your drivers" routine. Best of luck!

Er yeah.  I did clean the machine recently but omitted to check the graphics card as it's slightly awkward to get to and I'm lazy.  Removed a blockage and everything is fine again
