Heinkels repository of fighter jet's, and odd trinkets!

This repository includes all of my future fighter jets, and current craft!

Download links are under craft names. (usually)

PLEASE READ:

-note, I will be taking suggestions for off to the side builds from this main selection of vehicles I am preparing to design, so go ahead and suggest away! I would like to provide what you guys want to see, rather than JUST a bunch of repetitive jet fighters, each being only slightly better than the previous.

Figher jets

Summaries of what the aircraft demonstrates, or does will be included under the craft's gallery.

RK Series:

The RK series is designed to look russian, and a little stealthy, that's all!

OLDER FIGHTERS

RK-9

RK-8

https://kerbalx.com/He_162/RK8

RK-7

https://kerbalx.com/He_162/RK7

The Rk7 is designed as a generally good air superiority fighter, capable of anything, with a low part count, and cost, and a new mk 9 ejection seat, and improved cockpit design. It is now capable of beating mach 1 on the deck, unlike most of my fighters due to high part counts and the games drag model.

RK-6

https://kerbalx.com/He_162/RK6

This craft demonstrates a new rudder design, and a simpler "modern" custom cockpit, with a open top, and curved intake for the jet engines (improves stealth). On top of this, it keeps generally fairly stealth angles, making it at least twice as stealth as a conventional fighter Jet. The ejection seat works almost flawlessly, use with caution at high speed.

RK-5

https://kerbalx.com/He_162/RK5

The RK5 is designed to simply be a good fighter, not a 6th generation design, but a 5th generation none the less, it sports an completely open cockpit, with no wings, etc, to make it look better, but rather a really detailed interior front panel, I plan on making these much more detailed in 1.1.

RK-4

https://kerbalx.com/He_162/RK4

The RK4 is my first tail-less design in the RK series, and it is also the lowest part count RK series jet ever built! It’s top speed is faster than its predecessors, and it is just as maneuverable, and easy to fly, with drogue shoots for short landings on things like carriers, and an easy 35 m/s takeoff speed, it can be used almost anywhere, and has plenty of space onboard for armament of any kind!

RK-3

https://kerbalx.com/He_162/RK3

The RK-3 has a custom cockpit, supermaneuverability, and the ability to use manipulative flaps to reduce speed quickly, or reduce maneuverability. Also useful for landing is the drogue shoots added, ejector seat is the good old mk 8, and it can be activated with the abort button.

Added He-34 air superiority fighter, will be removing anything that is not an He- series jet, and make this thread based around those, since I will continue to make a few more of them.

Go ahead, and let me know if you want me to do anything specific for my next He- series plane.

Hmm, maybe something supermaneuverable, but doesn't flip fully over 90 degrees to retrograde all the time. Trust me, that balance is VERY hard to find... :D

None of them do?

I say they are supermaneuverable, as in they have the lift behind the center of mass, so they don't do a backflip, but they can maneuver simply on vectored thrust, or SAS, without stalling, and in cases, you can stall just for a maneuver.

Supermaneuverability is the ability of aircraft to maintain pilot control and perform maneuvers in situations and ways exceeding those that are possible by pure aerodynamic mechanisms.

My aircraft follow that, but are not fully unstable. ^

Added He39, and He40, I recommend you download and fly these, they are the best things I have created yet.

Only use stage two in He40 for emergency landings, or to avoid crashing. (NOT EJECTION SEAT, BUT TO SAVE KERBAL IN CASE OF CRASH, AS WELL AS MOST OF THE CRAFT)

~ All future updates for this will be included in a changelog in the OP. I will not reply in order to keep this thread "quiet" longer, and to keep from annoying people with every few things added, instead, every couple of months when the front page of it has fresh content, I will probably reply.

I added the following

He42

He43

He44 - WIP will be updating through tomorrow to finish, and make sure it flies right, it is very hard to get an aircraft to fly well with such shapes.

-----

Updated he40, and 41. Fixed aerodynamics a bit, and redid the strutting to better hold the craft together.

He33 was fixed, one of the flaps internally was missing.

Added "roles" next to the names of some aircraft. I.E. Fighter, Stealth Fighter etc.

Your newest crafts are blowing my socks off :D. You have improved a lot since last time I checked this thread, awesome crafts man! I really need to try making some crafts with custom cockpits as well haha :D

Btw try to build a Su-27 replica ;)

Thanks though, I really appreciate the feedback :)

Alright, I will add it to my list of things:

First on the list!

Su27

(I cleared my list, because I won't do props for a short while.)

I added it, but it's pretty basic, and I will be updating it more throughout the week to make finish it off.

I added the He47, one more and then I wait until update 1.1 to start a new series of fighter jets.

The He49-59 series will be better than all previous versions.

Except, they will be stealth as well.

I added my last craft until update 1.1, the He48!

It is designed to look "stealth" and I based it off of the F-22, Pak Fa T-50, and Su-27 to some degree.

The ejection seat the mk 8 is quite good, but it has some problems I will fix by adjusting it slightly, and the fixed on will be uploaded to kerbalX in the next hour.

-edit- The seat has been fixed.

What do you guys think my 1.1 craft series should be like? Should I make them stealth? Single engine? Twin engine? A new type of custom cockpit, or better ejection seats? What should I do?

Better ejection seats, single engine, more detailed cockpits ;)

Side note: I finally made a fighter with a custom cockpit :D http://imgur.com/a/nIgVL

I think I will make the single engine craft use the more powerful engines then, because I can't use as many parts with single engine craft and keep them in the air while maneuvering, because of the weight, unless I use only 200 units of fuel.

I will steal some idea's from your cockpit, and I will work on my ejection seats while I wait for 1.1 to come out! - If it's okay with you :D

Yeah it is totally fine with me :)

I am going to do a new series of aircraft in 1.1 called the Rk (Russian Kommand).

I will update the Rk1 for update 1.1 and include it with the He49.

They should look like future Russian fighter jets, and coincide with my He series jets, which will be more stealthy in appearance.

  • 3 weeks later...

KSP 1.1 is almost out, and I have decided I will wait for the full release (I don't have KSP on steam).
