Day/night in VAB/SPH

I was playing KSP, it was night in the game, and I built something. I noticed when you are in the VAB/SPH, even at night, it looks like it is daytime from the inside.

Can Squad fix that by 1.1?

It's been like that since forever.  I assume that the reason it doesn't automatically follow the day/night outside is that it's not actually rendered in the same "space" as the world; it's basically just a painted backdrop.

Yeah, it kinda bugs me, too.

I would say it's pretty safe to assume that at this point, 1.1 will have zero new features added.  They're locked down and trying to get it out the door-- all they'll be doing at this point is fixing bugs.

That's not to say there might not be hope for the future... but it's a safe bet that this won't happen for 1.1.

1.2 maybe?

Yes I agree it does look a bit odd, it would 'flow' better if the image looking out of the doors matched 'outside', but while in VAB and SPH game time freezes anyway, it's just real life that loses hours without you noticing.

It's been a while since this got suggested. Still, would be a great feature if/when it gets added to the stock game.
