Putting all this praise in perspective helps a bit too - the game is still in alpha. I think it\'s crazy that the demo of an alpha game is playable let alone great (I think it is and anyone can check this themselves for free ).

I think the devs are trying the hardest they can and enjoy the work, the forum is peaceful unlike any game where the forum community has issues with the dev\'s motives. I think they\'ve made it clear that they want to make a fun game and hopefully they\'ve already seen success in the form of pre-orders (and if they haven\'t I\'m sure they\'d let us know I, and I\'m sure a few others, would donate more so the game would realise it\'s highest potential) .

Also currently we get to enjoy a sandbox mode, the sand is pretty good too - it may not be this way forever.

Even as a paying customer I still wouldn\'t mind seeing them update the demo version with the current build of the game, or maybe keeping it staggered one update behind the pay-for version. If it gets more people interested the better. But I am sure Squad has put a lot of thought into their release plan and obviously the economics is working out for them. Is there an official number of how much money they have earned or how many copies they have sold, I know Minecraft had a webpage with a tally of paid for accounts.

Ive been playing the demo for a long time now and would like to buy the game BUT I dont want to buy the game on the chance that the developers abandon the game and it never comes out in full. Your opinions? Id like to know how often it gets updated, how big of a fan base this has ect. from some of you.

The game is very much worth getting. I\'ve been playing since 0.8 and even I haven\'t done everything. (Orbital Rezendevous :-[)

It\'s absolutely worth the $15. Even if it was dropped by the devs and never updated, it would still be my favorite game.
