Nvidia Display driver has crashed and recovered

I get this kind of message after my screens flicker black and after a while crashes. This happens when I edit big ships in hangar (over 100 parts) 

 

I've found out there have been similar problems before but all posts i see are few years old. Is there any way to fix this issue?

 

I use GTX 780,  i5-4670K  and 16 gigs of ram.

Maybe install the latest driver?

It's worth looking into whether the drivers are the culprit. NVidia has shipped several drivers versions now that have been... let's say, less than optimal.

Check out their support forum (the top thread especially, about the very latest drivers release, even if it's not your current version, is still interesting to check out as people mention problems going back several versions now).

Could be an overheating issue.

Does your computer fan get really loud when you play KSP for awhile?

Lot's of free programs out there will tell you your GPU temp, try downloading one and checking it out.
