This looks very usefull.

Do you know about ckan? it would be great is this was added there.

Sorry I missed this! I am following the thread but forgot to turn on email notifications.

I do know about CKAN. I'm eventually going to upload this mod to Spacedock or whatever it's called now and when I do I'll check that button. I've dived into Unity Programming proper though and am hoping to learn enough to be able to more easily (read: at all) implement some of the things I currently find impossible, and that's taken up a lot of my free time. Also? I forgot I actually kinda liked programming, having been away from it for decades.

This does not seem to be working in 1.1.2 though it did in 1.1.1. It may just need a recompile but I won't likely have the time to even think about it until tomorrow.

EDIT: It may just be Module Manager that didn't work, but I'll still not be able to check it for a while.

I've created a page for All Y'All on Spacedock, and I clicked the CKAN button so it should be on there soonish as well. I assume it'll all work out fine but as I don't use CKAN, someone will have to tell me if there's a problem. And then how to fix it because I have no experience there.

I reinstalled using CKAN and it seems to have installed just fine.

Downloaded it here, and still working in 1.1.2, thought I have discovered it allows you to do science you don't actually have access too. if you have a kerbal in an exterior command seat, you can collect surface samples, even if you haven't upgraded the astronaut complex to allow surface samples. :)

Neat trick, that, and one I didn't expect. I suppose it makes sense as the EVA'd Kerbal is part of your craft.

Now as far as fixing it is concerned, I'll have to give it some thought. The cheap and easy way out would be to just ignore chaired Kerbals, but I think before I (inevitably) resort to something so blunt I'll give "checking the astronaut complex level" a try first.

Good find!

I almost missed it. I literally didn't catch it the first time I ran the experiment. I was looking over my science archive in the research screen for something else entirely, and noticed a partially completed surface sample. took me a few hours of playing around to figure out what had happened. Couldn't understand how I'd gotten a surface sample when I shouldn't have been able too. :P

Hi 5th, love this mod. thanks!

/can anyone confirm this works ok in 1.1.3

CKan isnt showing it

I hadn't had a chance to test it in 1.1.3 until just now (first time I loaded it, and I closed it down right after. Such is my life) and it seems fine. I updated it on Spacedock which I believe will automagically update CKAN in a few hours.

Yay for bugfix releases!

0.4: Bugfix Release
- Fixed bug in science experiments: AYA allowed you to perform surface samples in a command chair without having to upgrade R&D
- Fixed bug in science experiments: AYA would only run the first experiment it came across in any given part. Now it will run each experiment in turn for all parts. Note this did not affect the stock game, but would affect any modded parts with multiple experiments.
- Included all source files in source zip, to hopefully make it easier for others to build from source.

This is on Spacedock and should be on CKAN soon. See first post for more details.

I’m unable to upgrade (or install fresh) the latest version of All Y’All from CKAN.  When I try a fresh install, I get:

Quote

 * All Y'All KSP_Version

Continue? [Y/n]

…to which I say Y, and then get an unhandled exception:

Essentially the same thing happened when I tried to upgrade the already-installed-via-CKAN version, except I didn’t get the Y/N question.

I made sure to remove All Y’All with `ksp remove` before trying to install fresh from CKAN.

Sorry for not trimming your post, I'm on mobile and the editor sucks.

I don't know much about ckan, but I screwed up posting version 0.4 and had to delete it and post again. Maybe ckan didn't see the 2nd update, or is there a way to refresh the cache?

Ah, that’s probably what did it.  Might take CKAN a while to figure out there’s a new version.

CKAN still thinks the most recent version is "KSP_Version" and when it tries fetching that from spaceport, it asks for "KSP_Version" instead of "0.4". It's been ~24h so I don't think CKAN is going to fix itself

Huh. I have no idea. I'll ask on the CKAN thread and see if someone can fix it.

They tell me it should be fixed now.

Confirmed.  I just installed it successfully, and the version is 'All Y'All 0.4' (alternatively: `AllYAll 0.4`).  No 'KSP_Version' in sight.  Thanks, 5thHorseman!

First, let me say that I love this mod.  Thank you!

I have, however, found a bug.  If you remove the science from a container that is not reusable without a scientist (i.e. the Science Jr.), but don't restore it, you can still get more science from the part by doing the 'Perform all science' action.

  1. Perform and remove science, but don't 'restore' the container.
  2. Running 'Perform All Science' will ignore all 'filled' science containers, but still allows you to get more science from the un-restored containers.

Yikes! Just when you think your mod is rock solid!

Thanks for the report, I'll look into it. I'm still new at this whole KSP Modding thing so no promises. I frequently bump up against things I simply can't figure out at all.
