KSP 1.1 Not Saving Screen Resoluton (Windowed)

Recommended Posts

I recently installed KSP 1.1 on my computer (fresh install) and have found that no matter how many times I change the window resolution of KSP in the Options menu, it always defaults back to 1920x1080 (the resolution of my monitor) upon the next launch. I am running the latest version of KSP (1.1.1250) on Windows 10 x64. All other settings can be changed without issues (the changes persist through multiple launches). The problem persists even when I remove all my installed mods, therefore I am posting it here in the unmodded install section. Please help.

Probably has nothing to do with your problem, but do you use a joystick or something? I found KSP to always resets the settings file when it can not locate an input device (joystick etc) that was previously assigned to KSP.

Hi @FCISuperGuy, can you provide more information please, we need the KSP.log from the games folder and the output_log.txt from KSP_Data.

These can tell us where you have installed KSP, if you unzipped KSP to your program files folder in Windows then your setting.cfg cannot be written correctly.

Try unzipping KSP to C:\Games and see if the issue persists.

@sal_vager If all you need is the install location, it's "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program" (without the quotes, obviously) - I have KSP on a separate drive. Moving KSP to "C:\Kerbal Space Program" fixes the issue, and so does changing the settings.cfg file manually to use 1600 screen height and 900 screen width.
