TR-38-D decoupler causes a lot of wobbling.

Recommended Posts

Ever since 1.1.1, every single rocket i've made using the TR-38-D decoupler, have been wobbling a lot more than they did in 1.0.5. It makes big rockets very hard to control.

I'm using version 1.1.1, 64 bit.

Dunno what might have changed besides everything, but I second the struts suggestion. Remember: struts will automagically disappear when you decouple.

almost - the visible strut disappears, but the strut still exists - its mass and part count still count on the originating part.  That is, wherever you first click to place the strut, the strut will still be attached to that part.  If you originate the struts from your lower stages, they'll be thrown away with the stage.  If you start the struts from your payload or your landers, they'll stay there eating up dV and CPU cycles.  In general, start your struts low and stretch them high.  It's a small difference anyway.
