KSP 1.1.2 always crashes with M700 Survey Scanner

I was able to reproduce the same game freeze with two different vessels with the (nearly same) scenario.

I had a vessel in circular orbit around Earth at 400 km, increasing Apo to 500 km first, then circulizing.
Then I activated the M700 Survey Scanner which says "minimum altitude to work 637.4 km" (or so).

I let it go and increased Apo to 700 km.

As soon as the altitude reached the mark of 637400 m the game froze.

I had to CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to launch Process Explorer to kill it, game still in foreground, so hitting "KSP DEL ENTER", the Windows native "problem gathering progress" never finished (after minutes).

I'm not a coder, but my intention says that it could have something to do either with

1. AutomatedScienceSampler 1.1.2.0 (that is in the correct folder GameData\KerboKatz\AutomatedScienceSampler\ besides KerboKatzUtilities and UI but not listed by KSP-AVC in the modlist at all...?)
2. Kinda "jitter" that occurs in the core game when passing the magic mark of 637400 m while the M700 is already active

I can assure you this has nothing to do with your issue. KSP-AVC relies on "version" files. Which no one of our mods include, that is why it doesn't list those mods

I had a look over your log file and saw way to many exceptions than I'm comfortable with (upwards of 4k all within an hour).

Try recreating this freeze with as little mods as possible and I'm sure it will be a lot easier to troubleshoot this issue.

I have another idea, just as simple as this could have something to do with achievements...
But I'm not sure as I did this in Sandbox mode.

I did another test, this time I was already at 700 km circular orbit and waited a few minutes, then I enabled the M700.
After about a minute or less the game froze again, same symptoms.

@Gordon Dry I came here from the Orbital Survey thread. You asked a question which you can answer yourself. Just backup your save and disable the Orbital Survey mod, then repeat your freezing steps.
