Bill Inspects Acropolis Station

Acropolis Station is growing module by module, and it's time for Bill to perform an inspection tour to make sure the process is proceeding properly. 

So off he heads to the Small Vehicle Bay. 

 

Once aboard the station's Pinnace, he sets forth. 

First up, Bill checks to see that the emergency evacuation rocket is ready to go at its berth. 

Next, he inspects the station's robotic tug. 

You may recall that this tug was recently used to detach and realign a segment of the station. 

Bill proceeds to inspect the antenna array. 
 

Hmm. It's pretty dark from this angle. Better turn on the Pinnace's flood lights. 

Coms tech Shelner waves to Bill from the Communications Station as the Pinnace passes. 
 

Bill checks to be sure the Mobile Light Fixture is still securely attached, 

in its current position where it provides light for the docked cargo SSTO, 

in an infinite variety of colors*. 

(*Well, okay, eight colors.) 

The Habitation Module is functioning properly and providing docks for visting craft and the station's auxiliary vehicles. 

Bill claws the ship to Central Traffic Control while confering over the radio for a moment, 
 

giving the traffic director a close-up look at the Pinnace. 
 

Then it's on to take a look at the instruments outside the door of the lab. 
 

The station's fuel storage tank has no leaks, and most of the attachment points on the recently added hub are still available for additional modules. 
 

Bill backs off to get the whole picture, including a look at the Cargomaster SSTO

which delivered the Pinnace on a recent flight.
 

The inspection completed, Melrie Kerman, from the comfort of a viewport in the crew quarters of the Habitation Module, watches Bill park the Pinnace back in the Small Craft Bay.

Take pictures of it and post them.  

Moving things in freefall and assembling stuff in space is possibly my favorite thing to do in this game.
