How do i build a Minmmus base?

Recommended Posts

Fellow kerbals today i built a Minmmus base but my bases are small one launch ships with mainly one rover only. They normally are just a few command stuff and fuel tanks, but I've seen a lot off pictures of huge bases and hundreds of rovers but how do i dock on another celestial body I've tried wheels but they just look stupid. Also interplanetary rockets are my weak point help?oXobVwx.pngDce5db7.pngh8GLOes.png

I would suggest a mod like Pathfinder. You could also land some base modules near each other, and perhaps use mods (Kerbal Inventory System, Kerbal Attachment System) to link them together. If you want to stay stock, you can try using the claw to stick vehicles together. As for interplanetary rockets, go take a look at the Spacecraft Exchange.

There are a bunch of different techniques.

But Minmus is very forgiving. You can just attach RCS and basically float the ports into each other!

It's easiest on the flats, as everything is nice and level. And you can land planes in reverse! Go near the edge if you want to be close to resources
