I think I found a new crater on Mars

So I was looking at Google Earth's Mars globe and I noticed a small crater, about 300 metres wide, and it appears on the normal Mars map but not the CTX global mosaic map. Is it new? How do I tell?

Can you post a screenshot of the crater?

Sure.

http://imgur.com/4PCfAl9 is the image using the regular Google Earth Mars map.

http://imgur.com/HhCQ3JZ is the same area seen under the CTX mosaic (usable under section Global Maps).

That is really weird. Hmmm. I'm not sure how to tell if it's real or not, but maybe one of the KSP experts can tell.

I don't understand what Pycta means in relation to Muhammad Ali.

That image is from 2008, so not exceptionally new. It sure looks like a crater, especially since the shadows match up with those in the much larger crater 14 km north of it. I would say it is definitely a crater. Now, the question is, does NASA already know about it?
