Request - Fork & Update Science Alert Mod

Let me begin by saying, if I had the skills to do it I would, but sadly I do not have that skill set.

The Mod, Science Alert, has been languishing for months without being update for 1.1.  I and many others feel it is almost essential to the game and makes the science part less grindy but not "automatic" like some other mods out there.  Sadly there has been little communication from the Modder and last we heard it was slated to be updated in April.  It is now mid-June and still nothing with few commits to the update and nothing for weeks.  Since it is "forbidden" to ask for an update, we have no idea what is going on with it.  We all know that RL always takes priority, as it should, so this is not a slight to the original Modder, I thank him for making this in the first place; just looking to get it updated now.

Hence, this request here.  Is there anyone willing to "fork" it over and get it functional for the players?  I certainly would not make this request right after a major update, but seeing that it has been months with no update, it does not seem to be premature.

If anyone is willing to help, the original link can be found here:

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help!

Regarding the other forks, those are all old and having contacted all of them, 4 out of 7 stated they never had intentions of doing anything and other other 3 never responded.

As for contacting xEvilReeperx, we have posted in the thread and received little to no communication within the last few months.  And as you know, if you ever ask "How the update coming or is there going to be an update" even if it is has been months and months you will almost always get the following response, "OMG how DARE you ask whether a modder is ever going to update a mod.  Great, now they are just going to abandon it because there is pressure on them and it will all be YOUR fault!  You are entitled to NOTHING."

So that is why I have not asked what is happening and the reason for the request here.  But thank you for your response though.

*Bump*
Science_Alert was one of my favorite mods, and I'm pushing so someone... anyone, could fix it and make it work.
Normally I can fix things no longer developed... more or less.  But I'm no programmer and I wouldn't know the first thing into fixing this one.

EDIT: Okay, I've seen that mods locked the original thread http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/76793-0-23-5-ScienceAlert-Experiment-availability-feedback
Also the author had stated he was a busy man and was working on it (which I did not see before posting), so just a heads-up that a least still work being performed on it.
Hopefully SoonTM

This one has been flogged to death. Go read the thread. The author has already stated he's working on it. But you know? RL has to come first.

Hence the request for someone smarter than me on the subject to fork it over.....

Maybe you have missed the point. The original author is still working on it and updating it. He is around if you know where to look. Forking something actively being worked on, despite what licenses may allow, is just plain rude. It's been discussed in numerous places, and is just not the right thing to do when it has not been abandoned.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
