sdfjh Posted April 30, 2018 Share Posted April 30, 2018 (edited) i think there's a problem with my KAS if i attach a component to a wrench in VAB/SPH, it will work out properly; but if i try to attach components( a electric magnetic for example), it seems the component is not actually attached to the wire in the wrench(when ejected, the wire inside penetrates the component which is seemingly mounted onto the shell of the wrench), and it's mounted in reverse, compared to normal condition. is this possible to be solved? That functionality has moved permanently to KIS. Those containers will most likely never return. Capt. Hunt Posted May 15, 2018 Share Posted May 15, 2018 I'm not sure this is a KAS problem, but it's one of my more likely candidates, because I just updated to the latest KAS 1.0 build. My docking ports have stopped working, no matter how I try, the docking ports just don't want to connect. This is what I get for downloading a bunch of stuff at a time, but most of the other mods in this bunch don't stand out as anything that might effect docking functionality. The other candidates are MAS, ASET props, Near Future Props, KIS, Cormorant, DockingFX, FMRS and Procedural Fairings. If it helps, I did notice that one of these mods added a docking radar to the port, but I'm not sure which one. I still think it's tied to whatever added the radar, although I don't recall a docking radar being mentioned in any of those mod's threads. On further examination, it appears that MAS is the cause of the problem, it wasn't mentioned in the thread itself, but after some digging I found that the radar script was part of that mod, and after removing MAS my ports are working again. I'll post in that thread to let them know. I thought we were back to going by the output_log again, it seems to vary from modder to modder which one to go by. I don't know if this was reported before : when pulling extremely heavy payloads, craft tends to go all wonky and Kraken messes it up. I made a "submarine" (to be precise a Bathysphere) that uses IW-50 winch attached to four USI floats and USI Otter impeller . Main lander can that houses a scientist and scientific instrumentation are linked below winch. Negative buoyancy is achieved using Jatwaa's MOIST!UWT mod (added intake and a fuel tank at very bottom). Problem is that UWT mod introduces CompressedLiquid resource which is VERY heavy and only a tiny amount is required. If not careful, one can easily add 100 tonnes in no time at all. Lowering the pod is not a problem, but as soon as i tried to raise it, Kraken messed up the platform and bugged the winch, freezing it at about 20m of cable length claiming it can't retract because of blockage. I started with a probe core and build from there. Build was kind of in reverse because the manned lander can is attached to winch. I did this since i needed to maintain view focus on the pod, not the platform. The Beta version should be installed manually, and it doesn't conflict with the legacy KAS (for now).
