I suggest part alignment tools for the VAB akin to those in image editing software

Image editing and desktop publishing software often has tools for aligning parts with other parts, to the left or right or centre which would be useful features for the VAB/SPH. It would also be useful to be able to edit two craft alongside each other to help ensure accurate part alignments.

Offset/rotate tool with angle snap turned on is quite helpful for alignment, especially in absolute mode.

Interesting idea about editing two craft at once, what is the use case you're imagining?

Just aligning docking ports for surface docking. I've got a mod part that is an umbilical docking port but you still need to be within 0.625 m translation for it to work.
