Large Golden OCTO and Flat Grey HECS

Recommended Posts

It would be nice to have a 1.25m OCTO and a Flattened HECS probe core, though I would imagine they should be redesignated for more consistent naming. OCTO/HECS would be the default grey multi-layer insulation 0.625m probe core, OCTO2/HECS2 would be the flattened 0.625m probe core, and OCTO3/HECS3 would be the 1.25m version that is covered in the golden multi-layer insulation.

The Hecs is perfect for static Solar panels. I find myself using it more than the QBE or Stayputnik

...you still sometimes use the Stayputnik? I mean ofcourse, after you have other options. I loved using it in early rockets designed to achieve orbit without guidence, but i was glad when I got the science to move on

The name Stayputnik hardly makes any sense after SAS function was removed.
