Minmus rairoad/tram! Stock ЯUSSIAN EPIC COMMUNIST RAILWAY!

Hey comrades! My name is Tovarish Sokol (Sokol290, TWNW) from far Russian city in arctic. And i came to this strange capitalist forum from our russian site about KSP. I make many stock mechanisms and famous there as tiltwing, turbine, tanks, and other inventions. And some english-speaking users are uses my ideas (for example - HAZARD-ISH tiltwing) for they crafts, that's not bad (in front of, that's good if i take ideas to people), but they receive recognition as inventors of this things, and my work remains unknown to other.

And i think to shows my ULTIMATE CREATION OF STOCK MADNESS, tram railroad on the Minmus! And export some communism here, yep! It contains many stages in, for example -  counter-balanced forklift truck for move segments of rairoad. All this things are stock, and i think you like this things.

Chapter 1 - main components of space railroad building kit. And  counter-balanced forklift truck flight to Minmus. 

Chapter 2 - First catastrophe, building and testing main systems. Builded 80 meteres of rairoad. (All rairoad be ~500 m)

 

And what crafts i use here? See, capitalists!

 

Tram SD-TR-1

 

This tram is first prototype of space tram. It has good stability and speed. But... Only on Kerbin. On the minmus this thing does not working. But you can use this to your monorail at Kerbin. or tests. 25 m/s speed - maximum, 5 tonn mass.

Tram SD-TR-3

 

Masterpiece of Soviet Space Rairoads Program! Very fast and modern tram vith ion-powered engines. Not working at high pressure, but ideal works on the Minmus! Jebediah Kerman approved! Very reliable. Mass - 7 tonn, and maximal speed is 40 m/s in ideal condiotions.

Counter-Balanced Forklift Truck

 

Huh. name of this thing in english is very "long", in russian this type of vehicle called "Вилочный погрузчик" (Vilochniy' Pogruzt'chik). And this is really cool machine. 3,5 tonn of load-carring capacity at 6 tonnes of vehicle mass. Works like my lift for aircraft carriers, alike real CBFT. In building this thing carry segments of rairoad to attach they to main construction. And... Very stabilly with Minmus gravity, lol.

Yes. Our rails, made of GLORIOUS SOVIET STEEL. 3.2 tonn, 11.9 metres. 14 parts. 

Segment transport spaceboat

 

Just a cargo spaceboat to carry serments. Lander.

All of this you can download there, just click to green icons with names of crafts. Registration needn't\need out, just click, and in second you have craft.

We need more modular stock base on Minmus! Like our military forces build now across Arctiс region.

ps: I think you need big nuсlear reactor from RITEG block here. IMHO Solar panels not in our style, comrade...

pss: and,,, dont'y think big gun is the best way to launch rockets from Minmus to orbit? You train can transport standart capsules and crew from base to launchsite.

We have no so much bears to repair nuclear reactor, and bears need vodka to working, on Minmus that be problematic!

Hm. I forgot to say about... I found some interesting effects, like extra-work of suspension, if it pressed by part of monorail. That's not looks like other 1.1 wheel bugs, because it can be controlable. Very powerful and abruptly, comrades.

Add KAS/KIS ground attachment things and rail should stop bouncing on low gravity.

Have you thought about doing track loop around asteroid?

It;s only stock "work".

I think e means "put a ring around  it". It could work too, with a big enough asteroid. And you could use Klaws to anchor it so it doesn't bounce off. The wheels probably won't, what with the speed being calculated as orbital,and thus way beyond the speed limit, but maybe that was fixed and I'm wrong. Still, it sound like it would be worth a try!

Yeah, connections between rail segments will be problematic. You will either need small segments... or bigger asteroid. (And 0g train).

 

What longest piece have you managed to build?

I did time-out with building on saturday and sunday. Today i launched third cargo with rails. 160 metres of railway at the moment (2 cargo ships with rails of 7 planned). No problems with stability of monorail at this lenght.

Comrades! 210 metres, too early disconnested segment, and some phantom effects do they ruinously work. At this lenght phantom effects be really powerful, and what be at greater lenght?

Railroad contains 466 parts at lengt 230 meteres (include Tram). Beginning start of 4th cargo with rails.

So, I really love industrial sceneries (or it calls Landscapes?). A land, whose be transformed and changes by labour, for need's of people, progress for greater discoveries, or impact on history of civilization.

And we have some transcendental effects... It's work like object whose out of physical influence of controlable craft, but i find method to control this.

I built a tram a while back but never thought about putting it in space lol!

And today we have 300 metres of rails and fifth cargo on orbit with other ~74 metres.

So, there is so MUCH bugs and phantom effects. 321 m.  And i think this already have problems with game physics, like strange crashes and exploisions.
