I'm not sure how that'd maintain a continuous save structure though.

All you have to do is make sure that the people do their missions in a specific order. The save is given to one person who gives it to the next and so on until the group of people gives it back to you. Would allow for multiple turns to take place in the same 3 days or for a complex mission involving multiple launches and people to go smoothly.

I can see about trying to make something lighter, but in this era of KSP smaller (spaceplane) SSTOs are a bit harder to pull off well in the past (either due to heating, speed, or aerodynamics issues, or a mixture of the 3). I'll see what I can do though, and perhaps if we need a heavier crew hauler for loading up any missions beyond the Kerbin system I can bring it out and send up crew in comfort that way.

Alright. You know, it may just be easier to head to Duna first. The Jool window would only be a year or so later...

I've got a stowable one.  Maybe we should have a different project for each month? Finish the station this month and start something else the next. Partcount is going to become an issue.

This is definitly a good idea! We could also just allow for three launches per person per turn, letting them do whatever they want.

You know, I'll shorten it to 2 days per person.

2 days per person is active from now on.

Alright, either target for a mission works. I've got some Duna-rated landing craft I've been working on, but I also have a rover that I've been utilizing for my in-progress Duna Elcano run I could try to prep for a mission.

Sounds good. Either way, we have a while before the window comes up.

I'd like to send a Rover to the Mun if we're doing a community space program.

Definitely. Once we have more than 5 permanent craft in the save, the title needs a change...

I would honestly rather free reign. Glad my next turn is coming along 30% sooner. Have a few ideas for my launches.

Yeah, it seems like that was a good idea.

I can't wait to see what you put up there!

I've decided on what to send. I was going to send a glider CTV to the station....

-__-

...But in light of this I've instead opted for core components of a large scale mission and one extraneous item. One nice thing is that the drive section launches itself. Fitted for 100 tons to Jool, 40 already used.. But I'm considering setting it for Dres to carry more equipment without the need for extra tanks.

Or is it still just space station for now and will it be in 2 weeks?

Holy moly, that's a nicely built transfer vessel. I'm sorry if I ninja'd ya on the winged CTV; feel free to send one up if you want. :D

I might start working on a dropship for any missions to the Mun/Duna following the station's completion, since I've got lots of experience with 'em and a nice rocket-VTOL dropship would come in really handy for dropping off crew and vehicles.

Do any of you guys have awesome pictures that can be turned into postcards?

I have one, from my last ever mission to the Modded community space station.

Shipping of postcards will start after station completion and will be delivered by the same RT-10 SRB that was used to discard the remains of RedIronCrown's console after testing whether OPM would work on console KSP. The SRB will land directly onto your house and there will be no warranty for any damage to your property.

@Spartwo, with your permission, can I deorbit the old tug we have up there? It is not enough to move the station anymore and seems to be outdated. We need something with more power (like a poodle) if we want to budge Unity.

I can only do this with your permission. It would also take down the old power array.

It's made to move sections. For example the power array you sent up and want to swap out. Move the two to a new orbit, give them a new purpose in life.

@Scientia1423 Can your shuttle land with payloads? We could potentially de-orbit the tug with a shuttle and land it if we leave it up there for some time.

That's one option...

Yes, this I will do. They can be the starting structure for another station up in a 200x200 km orbit.

I'm sorry I didn't make it clear enough what it was.

No problem. I always thought it was to nudge the station. My bad.

Still, if anything needs to be deorbited and recovered, as long as it is somewhat smaller my shuttle can handle it. We should probably find out if @Scientia1423's can as well.

Yeah, we need shuttles like that.

Can I dock my stock Soyuz to the station on my turn?

As long as it's stock, and as long as it's not over three launches, you can do anything with it!
