Just brainstorming around some simple math thingy and wanted to share them.

What the probability that the "gene" (fragment sum total/partial/similar) responsible of sonar for bat and dolphin to happen in a single human

What the probability that the gene(s^?) responsible of pheromone sensistivities for dog and ants happen for a single human

What the probability that the gene(s^?) responsible of magnetic field sensistivities for cats happen for a single human

What the probability that the gene(s^?) responsible of (some specific whatever existing animal) sensitivities/"competence"  happen within a single human genetic code

just curious how everyone feel about that kind of thing, possible, impossible, etc ?
may the said single/multiple sensisitivities amplitudes differ from one human to another in case it could eventually happen ?
is there a notice on e-bay ? ( ^^jk with that's last one )

Incredibly low, because genetic mutation doesn't work that way. Mutations don't randomly cause something radically different most of the time. Usually it's more of a gradual drift in a random direction.

This, note that with genetic engineering you could copy and paste. Well not exactly you wanted to modify it a bit too.
Increasing smell would probably be easiest we have an decent area behind the nose and could expand the nose bridge a bit without looking weird. You need more brain area for processing but human brains are huge compared to dogs.

Are cats sensitive to electrical fields? I thought the just created them rubbing on stuff.
Now cat night vision would be pretty easy but your eyes would look like an cat at least the reflecting eyes, you might be able to avoid the cat eye however the small pupil would probably look worse.

This problem can be easily solved from the opposite side: enforce pheromones, stop washing.

Other points: zero. All listed abilities are negligible for survival or social rank. A human depends on technology much more, and this dependence will keep increasing with future technological progress. No need in night vision when you have a lamp.

interesting ; ) so "dormant" aspect, training, and brain processing related thingies according to the evolve tree + a few randomness here and there

other point zero? the ability to receive a phone call all by your cells and without a phone as no point for suvivability , really this one do not convince at all ; ) might depend how a brain can process and interpret all the signal floating in the air nowdays a more or less accurate and rough accurate way ? no ?

middle age / Hz antenna / sat network /

i have heard, lost cat less come back when lost, may be part of there localization system is polluted by something

after all part of the brain include some oscilloscope alike thingy, there no reason they can't interprete some signals for part or a certain way right ?

another very minor and specific thingy that slighty bug me:

+
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual-tone_multi-frequency_signaling

let's say all objects and body emite some specific field related to there

Spoiler

"emo"

stat, and after all any signal can be carried per another signal (even if only a few bit)
