@MK3424 heres what do do

Option 1(sadly, I think its coming to this, but the only downside is the effort of setting up a clean server)

  1. Make a new folder and name it server(or what ever you want to call the folder)
  2. Copy the minecraft_server.jar file to the new folder you just made
  3. run the minecraft_server.jar
  4. Open the eula txt file and change "false" to "true"
  5. basically set up a new server folder
  6. download the fixed world (ServerWorld.zip) from mediafire (do you still have the link?)
  7. extract the ServerWorld.zip to the desktop
  8. go to the new server folder you made and delete the "world" folder that minecraft_server.jar auto generated
  9. COPY the fixed world that's inside the extracted "serverworld" folder to the new server folder you just made
  10. Start the server up and give it a test.

Option 2(recommended)

  1. Shut down the server(type "stop" in the console)
  2. Close Minecraft
  3. Delete the folder named "world"
  4. Download ServerWorld.zip from mediafire
  5. Extract ServerWorld.zip to desktop
  6. COPY the folder named "world" that's inside the ServerWorld folder
  7. Paste the fixed world into the server folder
  8. run minecraft_server.jar



IF THIS STILL SOMEHOW FAILS Use windows XD

Option 3

  1. Lift up your Linux laptop
  2. take a long hard look at it
  3. Launch it out of an Over Powered Cannon
  4. Run it over with a steam roller until its crushed confetti
  5. Go to you're nearest PC store
  6. buy a windows laptop
  7. walk out with a smile and an epic background explosion with "deal with it" shades

Why windows? Mac and Linux don't have windows 10

cause Linux sucks XD also, I've got the server running temporarily but its laggy and I think we're gonna have to go with option 1

also, if mk is starting up the server.jar from a shortcut or pin, that could be causing the problem

Windows is not very good for server usage... because the amount of bloatware it comes with, whilst linux is almost barebones.

Has the CIA managed to get a ram crash on kerbal with 64 exobytes of mods on the supercomputer yet?

****SERVER UPDATE ANNOUNCMENT****
Good News: We've figured out the real problem! and we are both sure we finally have the fix for it and it's uploading to mediafire

Bad News: While the fix was being transferred over to Linux, TeamViewer DECIDED to die on us which delayed  the server  from coming back on tonight
Me and Mk both are taking a rest and time to relax before MK downloads the new server folder for Linux, so please give us(preferable Mk) some time

What the problem was:-

On windows when you run Minecraft_server.jar it creates a load of files like banned IPs ect. Aswell as a randomly generated world that can be easily changed or swapped

BUUUUUUUUUUUUT--

On Linux, it cant run jar files or minecraft without special programs to reroute java or something, so the thing that linux has to use to read or open JAR files is reading off the Minecraft_server.jar but internally  storing the save world thats inside the server folder, so when mk reverted, it pushed back and read the internally stored save from 3-4 days ago and tried to read the fixed world at the same time, which caused the problems you see right now and since the minecraft_server.jar isnt running, it's not able to read what the jar file is outputting, instead another program is pretty much emulating the jar file, if this makes sense

A: Yup, All your houses, buildings, inventory, XP, Levels, Animals, Chest Inventory, your last location is all safe to before all this happened

Q: When will the server be back on
A: Possibly Saturday, once MK has downloaded the fixed Linux server, but he's on a well deserved relaxing trip to Fiji or some where :P

Q: Why cant I connect to the server right now?
A: Cause I'm a big meanie :P nah, we're keeping the server off for a small break and until its fixed
