Planet packs not working?

when i updated ksp I went to download and install a planet pack. i did what i was supposed to (downloading the latest version of kopernicus putting the files in the gamedata folder etc), but when i play the game none of the planets change, i am stuck with the stock planets. is anyone else experiencing this problem and does anyone have a solution? (note: i have tried at least 5 different packs none of them working)

Planet mods require Kopernicus, which has not yet been updated for 1.2.  So until it is, all planet mods are on hold.
