My motivation has gone away.

I am sorry to inform you that I have committed a sacrilege I have not played KSP in several months now. I have just lost interest, I would appreciate suggestions on how to restore my motivation to play this game.

It happens man! I just came back after not playing for 2 YEARS. My drive is stronger than ever and I can't wait to get home every day and play the game. My advice to you if anything is this: TAKE A BREAK. Heard Battlefield One was pretty good

Thats normal. I use to play KSP for a few weeks and than fall into hibernation until the next update. When it is out I create a new save, play for a few weeks and so on...

I didn't play for a couple months. I just hung around here for a while and motivation eventually came back! I've resumed my heavily modded 1.13 career and hope to eventually "finish it."

its normal since ksp dosnt have a story so when you run out of ideas, take a break and your imagination will come back.

That's ok, my child, you are on the path to recovery by confessing your sin.

Go download 1.2, explore the new options, then maybe browse through the 'challenges' section of the forum and try a few of them that appeal to you. You don't even need to do it to post a competitive entry, just to see what you can come up with.

As a Matrix fan, I often set out to deliberately do a challenge with a whacky out of the ordinary design, just to see what I can make KSP do that defies what one expects from 'physics'. Watch the following video, and imagine for a moment that Morpheus is trying to teach you how to play KSP :

I just recently launched the game again and installed a bunchnof mods that (sort of) let me play a scienceless career. And I'm having fun so far. Still waiting for Strategia to be updated but I see a lot of potential in the mod compilation I've composed.

Try doing the same. Mods help a lot when you're feeling burnt out.
