Surface attachable tiny probe core?

Is there anything like that? I don't recall seeing such a mod anywhere. It would be great if the probe body had very weak reaction wheels. Perfect for nanosats.

Not that you'd want to install a complete mod suite for just that, but you can just use the part and drop the MJ module

A few lines of MM-config can make any stock probe core surface attachable. Tested it for the smaller octo core:

@PART[probeCoreOcto2]{
    node_attach = 0.32, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 0.0, 0.0
    @attachRules = 1,1,1,1,0
}

For other cores just switch the name and maybe you need to adjust node_attach. 0.32 is ruffly the radius of the octo2.

EER can make anything surface attachable. Including all probe cores.

USI's Sounding Rockets pack has one - along with a small reaction wheel module.  Coatl areospace has some very nice surface-attach reaction wheels.

There's another mod I know that has a nice set of radial probe cores, but I can't remember which it is at the moment.

This, for the QBE, may go into my "modman configs I install on every build."

The first thing I thought when I saw the QBE was "Oh cool a surface attachable probe core." Seemed so logical.
