Highest Crew Capacity to LKO and Back

The challenge is simple: using one launch, get a ship with the highest crew capacity to LKO (Periapsis > 70km), then land safely! Your score is the crew capacity of the craft after landing, which you can either find by hand, or find using MechJeb. Actually filling every seat is not required, as it is too tedious to hire hundreds of Kerbals.

In DMP servers, there happens to be a lot of kerbals hired (500+ kerbals). We can try copying the DMP save and actually fill the empty seats.

Clipping is allowed? You seem to have 24 Mk3 crew cabin clipped thoroughly.

Vanilla clipping is allowed, but you can't have the part clipping cheat on.

I flew a 843 kerbal stock Boeing 747 to minmus, dropped of four kerbals, and landed on kerbin with 839 kerbals remaining. Does that count?

I'd rethink that. Kerbals in chairs have mass, so empty chairs can go a lot further on the same fuel.

I suggest a slight modification to this challenge - cheapest per-Kerbal to 100km orbit and back.

At the moment it seems primarily to be a test of part count...
