Of course to be honest if I were writing the story, everyone but Gene and Wernher are dead because of plot and the stunt doubles want more money

Day 6:

The Koviet union was infuriated that the KSC had flown by their launch complex. However, they did not want to start a war, so they did not investigate the incidents. 

Through all this time, the KART had been designing and building their secret project, and they finally revealed it. No one even knew what the payload was. This time, they were able to launch from the launchpad again, since the KSC had repaired the VAB. With help from the military and the KSC, they had constructed the "KART 1." They named it after themselves because they hoped this would be their lucky break.

Now I'll play the recording of the launch. 

Gene: "Alright boys. T-minus 5 minutes. How's the cooling coming?"

EECOM: "Fine Gene."

Gene: "Okay. Sound off. Give me a go/no go for launch."

Gene: "Flight?"

Flight: "We're go flight."

Gene: "Tracking?"

Tracking: "Go go go!"

Gene: "EECOM?"

EECOM: "We are go!"

Gene: "Launch ops?"

Launch Operations Officer: "Go dee go."

Gene: "FIDO?"

FIDO: "We are go!"

Gene: "Launchpad director?"

LD: "We're go."

Gene: "T-minus 3 minutes. We are go for launch of the KART 1 with the (REDACTED) payload into orbit."

Launchpad director: "T-minus 20 and counting."

Gene (To the KART): "Good luck guys. We need this."

Launchpad director: "T-minus 15 seconds."

KART director: "Yup. Pray to the kraken that it makes it."

Launchpad director: "T-minus 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, main engine start. 4, 3, 2, 1, liftoff."

Gene: "What? guidance, give me some numbers. What's with the sudden telemetry change?"

FIDO: "We've lost control! It's at prograde, retrograde, it's flipping everywhere!"

KART director: "Oh, #@$%!"

FIDO: "We've lost it Gene. It's gone."

Gene: "*Sigh.* Alright. Flight, lock the doors."

Flight: "Roger."

Gene: "Get me the military on the phone."

Flight. "Yessir."

The KART had just lost it's main contract. The KSC was locked in conflict with the Soviet union, and the KART was now locked in conflict with the {REDACTED}

They were dead. They would now have to prove to the KSC that they were worth something.

I've used in the past, but for some reason I didn't use it that time. I don't know why.
