What do you do in your spare time?

Seriously, in my spare time I love to read and do research. I am also working on a novel. I also do some political commentary writing, and play KSP. I enjoy watching movies and television, but during the late spring, I do some camping and hiking.

When I was at my prime on TCBW, I was writing hundreds, usually thousands of words a day, and thousands a week, I ended up writing over 30k words and 5 1/2 chapters in a little over a month, but I spent a few hours a day on it at least, same for Infinitum.

Well, for me, I find it fun (When I don't have writers block anyway) to create a fictional world like the ones I'm making, and depending on what scene I'm working on, the words just pour out.

Also, Infinitum is a planned stand-alone, and TCBW is going to hopefully be a trilogy.

I have a 3" right now. Now before the divorce, I had a Meade 10" with digital output. My ex decided she needed it during the property settlement. So, until I get some student loans paid down, my next telescope will probably be another Meade, but will be the 8" - with no digital output.

Not to give much away, it's actually inspired by Ray Kurzweil's book, The Singularity is Near, where he foresees the marriage of biology and technology to create the next evolutionary development of humankind. My novel takes place about seventy-five years in the future. Within Western Civilization, to prevent "loss of data" at death, governments mandate that a digital copy is made of your neural pathways and your cellular memories are recorded. Instead of funerals, there's "internment" where your essence is essentially uploaded into a digital storage facility so that at any time, through the use of holographic mist technology, your family and eventual descendants can "summon" you at any time...

But then there are those who do not want to be a part of this...

That sucks. Is it a reflector or a refractor?

Refractor. I quit using reflector telescopes when I began buying my own. That was over thirty years ago. :D

It should be by the end of this year. Right now, I've finished eleven chapters and about 1/3 through the story line I want this book to have. And in all fairness, it is the first installment of a trilogy.

(The Last Refuge, At the Door of Mars Temple, and The Temple Rebellion)
