Finally Writing My 'Story' Mode Concept

    I've been thinking on my idea for a KSP story mode. How it would work. The story, and so on. I've spent the last year (and likely more) thinking on it, while constantly being delayed by procrastination. So I have decided to finally just write it out in plain text and then later give the whole concept to Squad.

    You might be wondering, 'what makes my [ZooNamedGames'] story better than the other ones?'. My answer being, that I'm trying to best suit what story Squad wants to have, but maybe hasn't gotten around to. It isn't what I want to see, but what they want to see. I also have taken the game itself into consideration and have plans and ideas for how to make the gameplay matter to the story and vice versa. Since a story by itself isn't much to go on for implementing and spending many many man hours into creating.

    I also was going to design this in secret but the last few months I've come to the realization, this isn't the design of the next big hit drama show. It's Kerbal Space Program  . If Squad likes what they see and want the rest kept secret then so be it.

    However, in the meantime, I plan on livestreaming my creation. So you can watch here on Twitch. I will livestream every Tuesday and Thursday at 12pm EST-2pm EST.

    Please don't expect anything immediately as this is a big big BIG project.

I want to limit the access to the total idea so people don't start stealing my idea.

wait... so are you saying you've been authorized by squad to write a script?  

How did you get them to OK a project like this?

I see. Well, good luck to him. So far Squad doesn't seem terribly interested in a story or script.

if they were going to add a story, they might have a mode in KSP 2 or something, but they might not have it in this KSP, so I guess he has about 5, maybe 10 years to work on this

Yup. Sorry for any confusion folks. I'm with @Just Jim - so far Squad don't seem particularly interested. But hey - you never know - and a bit of extra luck along the way never hurt.

I'm not sure why you would feel this way. People on the forum are very trustworthy. If anyone started stealing from someone else's story, everyone here would call them out. This is probably one of the safest forums on the internet.

Maybe so  . But it never hurts to be a bit cautious, right?

well, it depends on what you're keeping secret. I wouldn't hesitate to write something here. But at the same time, I wouldn't give away the entire story either. As far as cliffhangers and chapter endings, keeping certain things top secret is highly recommended.

Gonna toss this as said in this thread-

Honestly if you want to content of mine I'm actually asking for help in making two cinematics so, energy better spent elsewhere so it seems.
