How to change the combinability exponent of antennas

In 1.2.2 all antennas now have a combinability exponent at 0.75(except for communotron 16/16s). I would like to change it but I cant find anything related to the exponent in cfg files.

Anyone know how?

This might have to be done with Custom Barn Kit.

Doesn't need Custom Barn Kit. It's a property on the part. All you need to do is have a little snippet of ModuleManager config that sets the value of the appropriate property.

The reason you don't see it in any of the .cfg files is that 0.75 is the default value, so they don't need to specify.

Ah, here it is. The property you need to change is antennaCombinableExponent.

Just tweak that, and you're good to go.

Ah, here it is. The property you need to change is antennaCombinableExponent.

Just tweak that, and you're good to go.

Because you can't. It's part of the stock code that is not public.

how did you get the file name btw? 

You were given the answer above. You can write a mod to do what you are wanting. It's not a cfg file variable. So I'm wondering what are you enquiring about?

So the combinability exponent will be 0.75 for all combinable antennas? (Although the Communotron 16 doesn't.) If I changed the 16S to combinable, I don't have to set the combinability exponent manually?

That's the one exception among the stock antennas, yeah. That one's linear.

Not unless you want the exponent to be something other than the default 0.75, no.

I tested it in-game. It seems the connection gets better from having more 16S'es, so that must mean the exponent is not 0.
