difference between decouplers

what's the difference between tr18-a adn tr18-d? same size, same ejection force, same tollerance... the first has less weight and price.

 

same for tr-2c and tr-2v

The 18d is a separator, it decouples from both sides where as a the 18-A decopuler only decouples from one side which is why it has an arrow pointing to the side that decouples.  Same for the tr/tv.

As wiki says, tr-18D is a separator. And

 Unlike normal decouplers, separators come free from both sides, leaving the decoupler floating.

Not only that but separators also release anything surfaced attached to them.
