Ohhh - I like the version numbering. :) Never spotted that before.

You reckon they could maybe borrow the Map Screen icons from KSP (or, gosh, make up their own) and paint them on the side of the booster to record successful missions. So when you see a booster with a couple of wee capsules and three or four satellite icons painted down the side, you know it's really put in the hard yards. :)

I was going to make a snarky comment about painting airplane icons being a bit cheaty but yeah, well... *cough*

What's that directly underneath the engines? Also, couldn't the interstage area fill up with water if it rained? It looks a little wet on the barge, so I would hope there's some kind of drainage in there.

A drainage would be pretty helpful. When the rocket ascend's to space the air inside the interstage would need to get out as well:wink:

Or maybe they don't have drainage and use the trapped air to push the second stage away from the first at separation.

(ok, that's almost certainly not the case, lol)

No, the second stage is pushed by a spring that goes into the engine bell.

(Sorry if this was mentioned before)

Just noticed one of Elon's posts on his Instagram, showing a picture of the SpaceX Spacesuit:

Similar to the one shown in the Dragon V2 animation. Looks like it has a relatively large visor

They make the forum more ugly, but at least we can't post tweets any more?

1st pasted, 2d pasted as plain text (match style). Neither works now.

Works for me. Just copied and pasted.

I think one way or the other I may just come down with a sudden, severe, yet short-lived illness that day. <_< Darn 24-hour flus. They're terrible around the end of the year. -_-

As long as your boss doesn't think it's the 26oz flu. You can say it's a new strain, the F9H-1 flu
