Ultimate Steve
The science room's chromebooks don't block YouTube livestreams, but the English ones do. Liftoff about now, but I won't be able to see it...
sevenperforce
Mach 1. 1:22 Max-Q. Underexpanded like a boss. Beautiful daylit shot of MECO and separation. The GTO flights without a flip have an amazing Ring of Fire view up under the exhaust plume of the MVac. Fairing sep! Fairings visible in the distance from the upper stage. Lost the S1 video downlink but we have telemetry. Edited October 30, 2017 by sevenperforce
Ultimate Steve
By any chance could someone get a picture of the landing for me if one is available?
TheEpicSquared
The Falcon has landed!
sevenperforce
Saw the engine plume, link cut out, and then we have confirmation of S1 landed. HOLY CRAP the back end of the rocket is completely engulfed in flames. Must have been a hot entry.
sh1pman
Wow, looks like "toasty" is a huge understatement this time. Edited October 30, 2017 by sh1pman

PB666
Landed but Southeast facing side was on fire, lol. On the bright side it did not melt down, [cough] Edited October 30, 2017 by PB666
Scotius
Looks like SpaceX got their landing down pat - now if they could do something with unreliable cameras and data transfer links...

Ultimate Steve
Certainly toasty... Hopefully that's just residual stuff and not a leak.

PB666
Wish the had some kind of automated fire suppression system on the deck
TheEpicSquared
Well, at least the fire is at the bottom, not the top... easier for the water hoses to reach, I guess

Even if it's a leak, it's not the end of the world. Engines should all still be fine. 1 minute ago, PB666 said: Wish the had some kind of automated fire suppression system on the deck They do, but it's not very effective. sevenperforce
S2 reignition! The first stage appears to be leaning a bit but the fires are out. S2 shutdown.

sevenperforce
According to the NSF forums, the fairing retrieval boat is out. Bouncy castle?
sh1pman
S2 cam showed a lot of particles flying around. Is that a space snow or something?

Lots of ice forms on the upper stage; when the engine shuts down, the jolt shakes a bunch of it free, sending specks of ice in all directions.
