mikegarrison
It's not the right topic for this discussion. And I have to be too careful about what I say. So I'm letting this go now.

Probably both? -Structural failure and/or rapid disassembly -Great data, as aerospace engineers are always collecting data during tests But "Tipping Point" does not refer to the typical Kerbal landing in this case... tater
For some reason I put the wrong link above for coverage (now corrected). (came on and it was Tim Dodd blabbering. Um, no.)
RCgothic
11th consecutive launch and landing of this particular booster. Seventh. I must have misheard the stream. Of course it's not coming in anywhere near as hot as a falcon 9. Edited October 13, 2020 by RCgothic

cubinator
Well, another successful flight! It seems like they hold a lot on these launches, I think they should be trying to minimize that for flights with ordinary people on them. tater
Seems to me that they need to push rapid turn around. The thing is cheap to fly (relatively speaking), and their boss is literally the richest guy on Earth. Launch, land, repeat. Gain operational experience with rapid turn around. sevenperforce
I wonder what their odds calculations on booster-capsule recontact are like. And what type of separation mechanism they use.
Scotius
Aerodynamic? Capsule is more aerodynamic than the booster. It should neatly separate them enough to not worry about the collision on the way down.
