I downloaded this mod(yes, I still have 3GB RAM) and I'm not so good at using Discord, so I'll just put it here.

THIS MOD HAS SUCH GOOD GRAPHICS, I HAD TO CHECK TO MAKE SURE I WAS STILL ON EIGHTH-RES TEXTURES. ON MY TERRIBLE COMPUTER, I WAS ABLE TO GET A SCREENSHOT THAT(TO ME) LOOKED LIKE @Gameslinx's EYECANDY SCREENSHOTS. NO JOKE. HERE.

Pressing F2, having the plane in space and far away enough for it to not load and having all the graphics mods downloaded is a gameslinx shot. This is a Generic Planet showcase shot.

I was just saying that the detail on these textures is INCREDIBLE. Eighth-res looks like the same detail(almost) as the screenshots Gameslinx has been throwing out to us.

EDIT: I've not heard of DDS L8 format. I imagine it's to do with the luminosity over 8 bits (1 byte) of data? If this is a lossless format I might consider it.

 

EDIT 2: Yep. Time to switch to DDS L8 if the game can read it. Took Photoshop a while to load up the file because it wasn't recognised.

How did you manage it? I'm using NVIDIA Tools plugin for Photoshop and KSP is unable to read the texture:

GIMP with DDS plugin. Are you using any compression? If so, I think that's killing it.
