Is it me or has the demo page been "Under Maintenance" since the start of summer.

It's still available at plenty of 3rd party download sites like softonic.

Sure, but it should probably be available at the official site of Kerbal Space Program.  At the very least, the link should send you to one of those third party sites.

I'd wager it's not available because they chose to make it not available.

Perhaps they feel it's no longer representative of the game or high enough quality?

I might agree with them.  If it's true, than, much as with Kerbalizer, they should remove the links and associated pages.

I was wondering if squad could update the steam demo to version 1.0.0.813 Demo instead of .18.3 demo

They'll let us know when its ready.   I guess they need more than 6 months.

My understanding was that the steam demo *was* the 1.0.0.xxx edition (you could still get the 0.18.3 from Squad while it was up).  It is gone now (or at least I couldn't find it).  I'd expect it there first when the demo is re-released.

Each have their strengths  and weaknesses, but only expect basic rocket design that works for 1.0.0 to work with 1.3 (and higher) full versions.  The stability requirements are vastly different.
