Infernal Robotics Not Working

Recommended Posts

So I got Infernal Robotics from CurseForge (99% sure I got it for 1.3), and all of the parts show up in my tech tree and the VAB.  I can attach the parts to my crafts, but right clicking on them only gives me my TweakScale options and nothing else.  Right clicking on them after the craft is launched does nothing, so they are pretty much just structural parts right now.  Am I missing an install of something, or is it possible that I have the wrong version?  Thank you for any help.

Sounds like you installed the parts, but not the DLL. How often do you install mods, is this your first or 50th? :)

You should put the entire contents of the zip into your GameData folder. Either it'll be zipfile.zip\gamedata\stuff or zipfile.zip\stuff. "Stuff" should all go into your Gamedata folder.

This is probably my 10th. A while ago, right around the release of 1.3, I installed a suite of mods, but it didn’t work mostly because I had no idea what I was doing, and in part because a lot of the mods weren’t updated for 1.3 yet. A few months ago, I deleted that entire install and spent the better part of a night finding updated versions and learning how to install them properly. I’m using a similar set of mods as Scott Manley’s Interstellar Quest series because I like how it plays. I think I may have installed Infernal Robotics from CurseForge before I started checking versions on the mods I was downloading, so it’s possible I didn’t get the whole thing. I will try to find a full updated version of GitHub. Thanks for your help.

1st: download "https://github.com/MagicSmokeIndustries/InfernalRobotics/releases" 2.0.10.. it will be missing the parts folder

gamedata/magicsmokeindustries/

2nd: add the downloaded "parts" folder from here(2.0.2) (https://mods.curse.com/ksp-mods/kerbal/220267-magic-smoke-industries-infernal-robotics ...IR2.0.2.should be the page you are on..

Copy "parts" to the GameData folder[gamedata/magicsmokeindustries/parts] and the parts will show..

3rd:Now go to https://github.com/MagicSmokeIndustries/IR-Sequencer

to get the ability to use  things

I could have provided this earlier.

sorry(do not browse. click the download IR-Sequencer-master.zip and then inside resources folder you will find the ../IR Sequencer/plugin and textures stuff .. copy.. IRSequencer folder to your Gamedata folder[gamedata/IRSequencer])

these directions still work with 1.3.1

hope this helps

show off you works..here's mine

Enjoy
