I can't figure out how to install principia no matter how hard I try

I'm usually really good with these things but I'm finding principia to be nearly impossible to understand.  There is a ton of information out there but not a single, simple, step by step installation process.  Not sure what I should do, losing my mind reading through all of the installation irrelevant data and installation relevant data seems to be spread out in chunks across many pages.

You should probably post questions about a mod in that mod's thread.  You're likely to get more help from the developer(s) and or mod users that way.  By starting a separate thread like this, it's just a crapshoot whether or not anybody who can help you will actually see it.

Thanks I figure you're right, I was just nervous to bother them since in all my reading it seems they figure it was pretty clear and I'm embarassed I couldn't figure it out

@Fergrim, the mod is not hard to install if you are experienced with the process, but it is a bit more involved than the average mod. I haven't tried the latest Principia, but I successfully installed the previous one on Windows. I believe that previous versions required users to compile the mod themselves, but this is no longer the case. 

You don't have to be embarrassed to ask a clarifying question, but be prepared to provide as much info about your installation attempt as possible so people can help easily: your computer OS, KSP version, and Principia version you downloaded(and DL source). Check the Original Post of the thread to see if there is any additional info the developer, or other knowledgeable thread dwellers need to answer your question.
