I tried something similar when I first started trying SSTOs.  I dunno why, but I just can't build anything around the rapier.  I've had better luck using two sets of engines.

I like how it looks.  How's the dV after achieving orbit?  Enough to rendezvous and dock?

I've just built a version with a docking port and RCS thrusters but haven't had a chance to fly it yet.  Based on flying the original to a 75k orbit, it may have enough to reach something in a 100k orbit, but probably no higher.  I will add an update when I have tried the docking version.

 

ETA : I have now flown the docking version and was able to dock with a station at 100k orbit, undock and then rendezvous and dock with another station at 250k orbit.  There was still enough fuel for a de-orbit burn from 250k, and enough jet fuel after the de-orbit burn to choose a landing spot.  It should be noted that I didn't add any monoprop to this craft, relying solely on the 7.5 units held in the command pod.  If your docking skills aren't up to relying on such a small amount, the addition of the extra weight of a mono tank would obviously affect the flight parameters.
