Manual target on Kerbin (out of contracts)

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

In order to learn how to land a plane, and in order to discover Kerbin surface, I need to be able to manually target a point on the planet.

We can easily do it when the point is defined by a contract, but I don't know how to define manually a point myself where I think I can land without dangers.

Do you know how I should do it?

Thanks

You can use Kerbnet to set up a custom way point.

Just use a probe core that has Kerbnet access.

Or you can get the Waypoint Manager mod, which pretty much does the same thing, sans the need for Kerbnet.

Kerbnet is still a bit of a mystery to me. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of its usefulness. I really need to explore it's capabilities a bit more.
