How do you time an inter-planitary mission without manually using the warp?

Say the magic window to another planet is 1 or 2 years ahead. How can I just skip to the date without having to watch the date or even worse accidentally go way past the date and have to start over?

(Assuming you're not on console)

Install KAC, and set an alarm for the transfer.  KAC will stop the warp at a pre-determined time before the burn (IIRC default is 1 minute, but you set the time)

The transfer windows mod has an option to add an alarm on KAC.

It has also an option to copy the transfer burn values, and paste them in Precise Node mod.
