A thank you to the moderators and community

I've been at this game a year now.  It has become a hobby I really enjoy, but I think I would have dropped it ages ago were it not for this forum and @katateochi's amazing KerbalX.  This is a wonderfully supportive environment that allows me to scratch the creative itch and share it with others.  No questions are treated as dumb, folks are always willing to share advice when asked, and modest victories are given a thumbs up by seasoned players.   I even got a challenge of the month not long after signing on, which was  big boost :-)

This is a special forum, and it is special in part because it is exceptionally well-managed. The only other place I have seen on the internet that is this consistently welcoming and friendly is the Khan Academy (an amazing resource for all ages needing to learn math, or in my case, relearn it after a very long hiatus.)  It is a lot of work to keep a forum on track, and the moderators do a stellar job of keeping things polite, courteous, supportive and blissfully free of politics.  Who knows if some of the folks I correspond with here share my views?  Who cares?

I deleted my Facebook account this year, and I only belong to one other forum--for trumpet players.  I am generally not a person who spends much time commenting on the internet.  But I love this place.

So hats off to all of you that work hard to keep this a welcoming place.

And hats off to the community that has welcomed me over the past year.

I'll leave you with an image from Manai, from the Kerbol Origins Planet Pack--just because it is a neat place.
