Mods update every time?

Why do we all have to update ckan & mods list every time & KSP Mods every time?

Because every software got bugs and some get fixed, so even CKAN needs an update sometimes. Usually, the changelog will tell you about bug fixes, added/removed features, etc.

If an CKAN indexed mod got an update, your local CKAN install doesn't know about it until it updates the mod list. The updated mod list will be used to compare the available mod version with the installed one, so CKAN can notify you about an update. AFAIK, the auto-update of the mod list can be disabled so you have to press the 'Update' button manually.

If you are spending more time updating mods than playing the game, you may be using too many mods .

Or updating too often.   I like to play the "stable release" game, where I wait for Squad to unleash all the hotfixes before upgrading.   That way, all the mod makers have caught up.
