Extrasolar is .. Gone?

Hey just figured I'd throw this out there to see if anyone knew whats up ..

Apparently the Extrasolar thread has been locked at request of the OP, and the GitHub link is 404. Spacedock still appears to be up for the moment.

It's really unfortunate because I literally just got Extrasolar working with GPP (there were incompatibilities regarding the clouds which I had to fix) and now not even 5 days later it appears Extrasolar is well ... Gone. Was really looking forward to using this mod, which I know I can still use it in 1.6.1 as I have a working install. But there will presumably be no more support or updates for the mod, and with it's ARR license, well that's it.

@AndrewDrawsPrettyPictures Even though I just discovered your mod recently, I really did enjoy the idea of it and am in awe of the amazing work you had put into Extrasolar. Thank you for so much for sharing your creativity with the community and I wish you all the best in the future. I know that we are not entitled to any sort of explanation, as it was your creative work and you have every right to do whatever you want with it, so this may be a shot in the dark but my curiosity always gets the better of me so I'll ask anyways, what happened?

Yeah, I'm kinda bummed out by this, it's my favorite planet pack and I was trying to make it work with Principia (not that I was having success, my program is not really what you'd call advanced).

EDIT: Wait, I've found the answer, they discontinued them because they aren't really happy with them.

He wanted to do some more work on this mod i think, but i guess he's abandoning it now.

Yeah, I'm really disappointed by this. I was setting up my mods for a new playthrough, and went to pick this mod up again and it was gone. I grabbed the Spacedock version, but it doesn't have the visuals folder, which means no clouds or anything. It's a shame, I don't get why they wouldn't just leave it up for people who want to use it, but not support it anymore.

Aw...I liked the direction that mod was going....I never whent to the sistem legitimetly because it was too far and im horrible with KSPI....But it was looking good...

If i'm not mistaken, the "oasis' mod is still available and it also adds a star named valentine with five planets or so.  Just fyi in case you guys are still wondering.

 

I'm not positive, but now that I look, I think they're the same thing

Could you post a link? I'm rubbish at finding mods.
