KSP Crash Multiple Times

Recommended Posts

Ive updated my software, game driver, and even tried to allow my anti virus to ignore the game, but still have crashes. Its random, sometimes on startup, sometimes when clicking on buildings, but most of the time its when i just loaded a game for 1-2 min and actually into game play then it crashes in a load screen.

For reference here is a complete screenshots of the error report:

We'll also need your output.log, but please, host it on a service like dropbox and then link it here.  They are very very big.

Also, since you are running this through steam and an unmodded install, try verifying your files through steam.

When i verified my files on steam, it came up with " 6 files failed to validate and will be re-acquired." im new to this part of steam for validating the files so what does that mean? Does it need me to reacquire the files myself or is this an automatic download on steams part?

Its automatic, it should have downloaded them right after the message.Usually they are very small in size so its really fast.

  • 2 weeks later...

Had the same issue. I solved it by moving(I copy/paste) Kerbal Space Program folder from D:\Games\ (hard drive) to C:\Games\ (SSD). Games folder in OS (C:) was created by installation of an other game. Games folder in Data (D:) was created manually but I set a secondary steamapps folder in it (KSP was in Games, not in steamapps\common). I think it was crashing too when I run it from main steamapps folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common.

---->For me crash were caused by Steam.

Ps: It's weird because I know other games that work like KSP, some have the same problem, some don't have it.
