I'm pretty sure that was added when asteroids were added to the game. Its likely also used for the old scatter and Easter eggs later as well. There is a possibility that you may have a base/ landed vessel where these will spawn in - you have been warned! 1. Generate a new save 2. Go into the Kerbal Space Program>saves folder 3. Open the persistant.sfs file in notepad 4. Locate the ROCSeed # and copy it (see image) 5. Paste into the old save at the same line 6. Save it and give it a go! Thank you. You're a genius. I've spent days wondering how I'm going to find this stuff.

BirdWithBread
Is there any way you can enable surface features on old worlds for Xbox One?
Filed.Teeth
Realize this thread is old but wanted to say thanks! Had already been to all planets, mapped all the anomalies, so took a while before I went to look for the new rocks... I'd seen one method that was just WAY too complicated, this was simple and quick! For safety, I used a quicksave from the backup folder, then copied it in to the regular save folder. I'd spent an hour driving around, finding nothing. Soon as I applied this there was a new feature not 30 meters away! (so no explosion lol)

Squashy
Is it normal that my ROC seed says -1?
MinchinWeb
On 4/3/2024 at 10:17 PM, Squashy said: Is it normal that my ROC seed says -1? Per comments earlier in this thread, that appears to be the default for existing saves, and means the surface features are disabled. Set this to any other (positive?) integer to activate surface features.
